Welcome! Bienvenue!

I studied Fashion and Textile Design at Saint Martin's School of Art in London graduating in 1992. I set up in business initially working with printed textiles and then handmade paper, until I re-trained in techniques for kiln-formed glass.

I am a glass designer/maker, making kiln-formed glass pieces of jewellery, tableware, interior design statement pieces for both table or wall, kitchen or bathroom, as well as small architectural commissions. My work is about a love for making, a passion for materials and a dedication to mastering techniques. Form, Colour and Texture are my alphabet

In 2015 my Husband and I moved to live in Morbihan, South Brittany, France. My Atelier is located in our home, a renovated former milking parlour in the heart of a Dairy Farming Community. It is rural, tucked away and peaceful. Surrounded by pastureland filled mostly with cows and tractors, my hours in the atelier are punctuated by daily walks with my dog and little steps to materialise a garden we hope to create around our home.

During Lockdown in 2020 I started to paint in acrylics and have recently completed an extraordinary online course in painting called ' The Creative Visionary Program'( CVP) by the California based Artist/Teacher Nicholas Wilton. It has given me an abundant grounding in  various techniques and principles of creating art and has been a game-changer for the direction in which I am now taking my work.

'Gently does it. I work...... and then there is a moment that arises..... when the harmony in the piece has moved.......... from Silence into Expression'
